FROM MS. FINNERAN
Students:
-
Thursday marks the 7th anniversary of 9/11. Lets all take the time to remember those who have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice for the sake of freedom. And, as a student, please remember that your education is the most important ticket to your own personal freedom in the future.
-
After school tutoring has begun! It is every Tuesday and Thursday in the library after school, from 2:30-3:30 P.M. It is free!
-
Remember homework includes studying. During middle school, you should develop the habit of studying every night. This good habit will you achieve success in classes now and in the future!
-
Regular, on time attendance is very important for your academic success. Remember, there are very serious consequences for unexcused absences!
FROM MS. KAUFMAN
Students:
Welcome back from your weekend. I hope it was a good one for everyone. I know you have heard a lot of rules these past couple of weeks, however there are some that need to be heard again:
- Please do not wear inappropriate clothes to school short shorts are not allowed. Read the dress code in your planner or the one posted on your teachers wall.
- Backpacks should NOT have any extra writing on them.
- Keeping hands to yourself includes all situations. Please do not use the excuse I was just goofing around. Thats how people get hurt and is not accepted as an excuse.
- This is a no gum campus. You can receive an ASD for chewing.
- If you skip or forget your teachers detention, you may end up with some administrative detentions.
The first dance of the year is happening Friday. Remember that all fines and overdue books need to be taken care of prior to going to the dance this includes the cafeteria and library. All school rules (including dress code rules) apply. Please review them in your student planner so you dont get turned away at the door. Be sure to read the dance rules posted in your classroom. Tickets will be on sale Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at lunch. No tickets will be sold after 6th Period lunch on Friday. No dance tickets will be sold at the gate. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Kaufman.
Remember, your actions tell a lot about you. Treat others with the same respect with which you wish to be treated. Make it a great day or not. As always, the choice is yours.
"You just cant beat the person who never gives up." Babe Ruth Go Tigers!!
BIKES/SCOOTERS: Students, if you bring your bicycle or scooter to school, you must lock it in the bike area. Any bicycle or scooter found locked to the chain link fence will have the lock cut and the bicycle placed in storage. If you come to school and the bike area is locked, please let someone in the office know so you can lock your bike up properly.
FROM THE COUNSELORS
Students:
I hope you have all started the school year by paying attention in class and keeping up with your classroom and homework assignments. Students remember…
“Even if at first you do succeed, you still have to work hard to stay there.” – Richard C. Miller
In other words, in order to keep your grades up, you have to continue to complete your classroom and homework assignments. I know that each and everyone of you can do that. Have a good week.
FROM MS. DOUGLAS.
Students:
Work to achieve your goals and remember: Life is hard by the yard, but a cinch by the inch.
FROM MS. YOST
Students:
The obstacles in a person's life provide one with opportunities to determine one's values and goals. One could think of those obstacles as hurdles one must jump in order to live the life one wants.
